what's a birdfish? *

Birdfish Productions is run by Amy Swan and covers adventure, natural history, drama - and everything in between!

Originally from Calgary Alberta, I've lived and worked in England for over a decade now during which I have had the good fortune to work on a string of wonderful productions which have let me travel across the UK and work with some amazingly talented people. I love living in Bristol and I'm very excited to be a member of the Bristol Editors Network and British Film Editors.

I recently edited on a new CBBC observational documentary series Deadly Mission Shark. Prior to this I edited a feature length adaption of Hamlet for the big and small screen performed live at Bristol Old Vic starring Billie Howle.

Other edits include a 9 episode compilation of Sarah Beeny's 'New Life in the Country' for Channel 4 and a Sky Arts drama called the 'Park Bench Plays' - five plays about the pandemic by local Brummie writers like David Edgar and Janice Connolly in partnership with The Brimingham REP theatre.

Recent credits include assembly editing on independent feature dramedy All My Friends Hate Me. Also assembly editing on A Discovery of Witches (Series III, Sky1), Clique (Series II, BBC3), and

The Trouble With Maggie Cole (ITV1).

My passion is storytelling, and I'm always keen to turn my hand to new projects! I'm very happy to have a chat and a coffee about any upcoming work.
